McLure girl fundraises for Variety – The Children’s Charity

Callie, a North Thompson resident, and 11 other kids from around the province have kicked off the 10th annual Kids Coin Drive for Variety to raise money for children who have special needs.

All of the kids involved in the coin drive have been helped in some way by Variety and fundraise with one common goal - to ensure that Variety is there for other children as it was for them.

Callie has born premature at just over a pound and has required some additional support. Variety provided Callie with a specialized wheelchair as well as a ramp and tie downs to make her family’s van wheelchair accessible.

This is Callie’s first year fundraising for the Coin Drive. Callie’s family previously fundraised for Variety through their own campaign, which raised over $2,400!

You can help Callie raise money for children who have special needs by dropping off your coins at any Marketplace IGA or BMO throughout B.C., or at any other participating partners in your area.

For a complete list of drop locations or to donate online, please visit www.kidscoindrive.ca. The family will also distribute coin boxes for donations at various businesses around the North Thompson area.

Since its inception, the Kids Coin Drive for Variety has raised over $1.6 million. Help us help kids by supporting the Coin Kid in your community. You really can make a difference in the life of a child.

If your business would like to be a coin drop off location please contact Andrew Forshner at andrew.forshner@variety.bc.ca or 1.800.381.2040.
