Music brings joy for Barriere shoppers

Those in the grocery store lineup at Barriere AG Foods last Friday were pleasantly surprised when toe tapping music was suddenly provided by Exon Harding and his fiddle. This young man is known to many in the community for his talent with a fiddle and the many times he has played for the Kamloops Old Time Fiddlers Association of which he is a member.

Harding has also been hired by a few folks in the community to play outside the homes of friends or family during this time of self-isolating due to COVID-19. As one customer stated while waiting in the AG Foods lineup, “The music was a treat to hear, especially during this time of everyone staying home and not socializing – he sure brought some joy to my day that I wasn’t expecting.” (Elli Kohnert photo)
