A spokesperson for the 5th Annual New Year’s Eve Bullarama and Dance at the North Thompson Agriplex in Barriere says this year’s event is planning to take it up a notch for families.
Kids 10 and under have always been admitted free to the Bullrama section of the evening and that will remain the same for 2016.
However, there will be much more on site for kids to enjoy, including a number of games and competitions that they can participate in at no cost with an opportunity to win prizes and help celebrate that Canada’s 150 birthday will soon be arriving.
There are also plans in the works to have a mechanical bull onsite, great food, and plenty of first class entertainment.
The New Year’s Eve Dance (19 years and older) will start at 9:30 p.m. sharp in the heated Agriplex banquet hall and when the Bullarama section of the evening is finished (around 10-10:30) only those holding dance tickets will remain at the Agriplex. Dancers can then move into the Agriplex arena if they so wish or move back and forth between the two venues.
As in the past, this event is still a fundraiser for the Farm Kids Scholarship Fund, with a portion of profits being donated to the Scholarship Fund. The balance of profit raised will go back into improving the Agriplex facility which is still a work in progress, and already a major economic driver for the community and the region.
