Do you love to bake?

Or perhaps you’re great at sewing or knitting?

Maybe you have a ton of Lego blocks and a great idea for a Lego sculpture.

Do you paint, or have you got an interesting collection of some sort?

Do you love growing your own vegetables?

Why not enter something in the North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo Exhibit Hall competitions this year?

Perhaps you are a member of a community group - why not enter a float of some kind in the Saturday Parade? Or if you have children or pets, start working on their costumes now and enter them in the Monday morning Family Parade.

Do you like riding your lawnmower - think it is the fasted mower in town? Why not enter yourself in the lawn-mower races!

Mark your calendar now - Friday, Aug. 31 for the afternoon Wildcard Rodeo event, and then Sept. 1-3 for three days of BCRA Finals Rodeo, Lumberjack Shows, exhibits and competitions, food concessions, music and more.

Pick up your copy of the 69th Annual North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo catalog at local businesses and the Chamber of Commerce and start deciding what categories you want to enter and what the weekend schedule of events includes.

This year the theme for the fair is beef cattle, antique tractors, and sunflowers - plenty of ideas there for a parade float!

Come on out to “beef it up with cowboy boots and country roots!”
