Those travelling along Highway 5 towards Avola are advised to keep an eye out and slow down as a semi-trailer carrying rig mats had allegedly lost its load.
The highway has been cut down to single-lane, alternating traffic, and pylons have been set up along the spill. Numerous drivers have posted on the public road conditions group for Highway 5 on Facebook to warn others of the incident.
A flagging crew was dispatched by TransMountain, who witnesses say were on scene very quickly to provide awareness and safe passage for vehicles passing through.
