On Saturday, April 14,  a member of the BC RCMP Central Interior Traffic Services stopped a red Dodge Ram for speeding on Highway 5 near Edwards Road in Vinsulla, B.C.

Upon speaking with  the driver, the officer noted an odor of unburnt vegetative marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The man was subsequently released to appear in court to answer to a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The total weight of marijuana seized from the cargo area was 10.75 pounds, or 4868.30 grams, and the total weight of hash found in the cab area was 4.2 grams.
