The Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD) Barriere Library announced this week that they will be offering the Tiny Tunes program for youth in the area again this year.

“Parents and children four years and younger are invited to join us for a half-hour of songs, rhymes and stories,” says head librarian Linda Kelley.

“The songs and simple rhymes are a good way to promote early literacy for young children,” added Kelley.

“Once the parents know the songs they can sing them with their children at home,” commented the librarian, “The children can socialize with other kids their age, and the parents can meet new Moms.”

The Tiny Tunes will be held at the Barriere Library every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
