A single vehicle rollover has taken the life of a cement truck driver early this morning (April 29) on the Heffley Louis Creek Road approximately two kilometers east of Lake Bay Road.
Sun Peaks emergency crews and Kamloops Fire Rescue responded to the scene but were not able to access the patient, who was then extracted from the vehicle for paramedics to work.
RCMP report the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
UPDATED
Police say the cement truck left the road and went down into a ditch on its roof.
The driver was from Kamloops.
Cause of the accident is currently being investigated by the RCMP.
