Barriere RCMP report on Oct. 24, 2016, at approximately 4:30 p.m. they attempted to stop a 1994 Red Ford Explorer for a motor vehicle act violation on Barriere Town Road.
The driver of this vehicle failed to stop and in fleeing police exhibited erratic and dangerous driving.
For the safety of the public Barriere RCMP say they did not pursue the driver, but did find the vehicle abandoned a short while later.
As the investigation continues, Barriere RCMP are asking any witnesses or persons with information to come forward and call the Barriere RCMP Detachment at the non-emergency number, 250-672-9918.
