It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Barbara Louise Moore (Barb) on the 22 of March 2008.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Gordie Moore, daughters Lorretta Wingo (Jason) and grandson Miles of Mountain View, California; Melinda Strachan (Daniel) and granddaughters Kendra and Dalia of Calgary, AB, and son Tyler Moore of Calgary, AB. Her parents, Alice and Ernie Foord, brothers Charlie Taylor (Marg), Danny Taylor (Roxanne), Larry Taylor (Debra), and sisters Karen Callaghan (Bob), Lorretta Gammel (Donny), Brenda Lang (Pat), Patricia Johnson (Brent Carson), Lynn O’Hara (Michael), nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She is predeceased by grandson Everett Cash Wingo and her father Raymond Aldon Taylor.

Barbara was born April 20, 1957, in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. Barbara was one of nine children.

Her family moved to her longtime home in Louis Creek where she met her soul mate, Gordie Moore. They were married on June 1, 1974.

Together they have raised three exceptional children, of which she adored immensely.

Barb was a strong, quiet woman who could be depended on for her strength, guidance and sense of right and wrong.

Her quick wit and easy laugh will be greatly missed, particularly by her three grandchildren whom she cherished.

Barb married into a family who treasured her as a daughter/sister-in-law.

Barb was an avid golfer with two holes in one on her record. She enjoyed the social aspect of the game and valued the many friends she made throughout the years. She will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Barb’s life was held on March 29, 2008, at Sun Rivers Club House.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Crescent S., Kamloops, BC V2E 2S9.
