Chad Wayne Gartner

April 3, 1997 - July 18, 2024

The loving family of Chad Wayne Gartner is saddened to announce the sudden tragic passing of their amazing son and brother on July 18, 2024. Chad was born on April 3rd, 1997 in Whitehorse Yukon, and raised in Barriere B.C. Chad was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him. His hugs, smile and laughter will live on forever.

Chad will be endlessly loved by his parents, Stacey and Dan, adoring sister Jessica (Yevhen) and Luna. He is now in the loving arms of Grandma Hot Damn.

The heart of a warrior is soft from a young age he stood up for people who nobody would care to stand up for. Against foes who no one would dare to stand up against. He would be kind to people who no one would think to be kind to. Generous in ways no one would dare to be generous. He would make people laugh in ways they would never think to laugh. He fought against demons no one could ever imagine fighting. And he fought them as long as he could. This is how we will remember and cherish Chad.

We would like to thank our family, friends and community for their love and support, Dr. Marais and Dr. Odubole for going above and beyond, and our angel here on earth Louise Lodge.

There will be a celebration of life for Chad on August 3rd, 2024 at 252 Oriole Way, Barriere BC, from 2:00 - 6:00 pm. Please bring your stories to share, a chair and sense of humor as we will be playing games in honour of Chad.
