On the morning of July 26, 2015, Corey passed away as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Corey was born in the city of Kamloops, July 12, 1992. Corey was the first son and twin of Dan McMartin and Belinda Olson.

Corey grew up in Barriere, BC, during his childhood he grew to become an avid enthusiast and lover of camping, and all things game and video game related, making many friends at home and around the world. He graduated secondary school moving to Kamloops where he resided with close friends and his brother Cole. During this time, Corey also found a love for the gym and a commitment to living a healthy lifestyle, which inspired many of his friends to follow him down the same path.

Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Corey can recall his empathetic and sensitive nature, and his unique ability to make you comfortable with yourself and your insecurities. He was able to bring a smile to your face, and if not he was always counted on to be there for support. Corey once said "How fortunate we are to be surrounded by such continuous beauty", which perfectly portrays his unique and insightful view of the world. Corey always wanted to know and understand everything he could about everyone he met, and never wanted anyone to ever feel alone.

Corey dreamed of travelling the world, wanting to visit Asia, Central America, and possibly even living in Australia. Corey had wanted to dedicate his life after eventually going to school to helping people by working as a counselor for troubled youth. He wanted to help others no matter what, and had a great gift for making those around him believe in themselves and see a brighter future. Corey will be greatly missed by many, and loved forever by friends and family.

Corey is survived by his parents, Dan McMartin and Belinda Olson, his brothers and sisters Drew McMartin, Cole McMartin, Shailee McMartin, Haylley Uppenborn, and Kashen Mcfayden.

A celebration of Corey's life is being held at North Barriere Lake (Hollywood Beach) on August 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
