In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness, and sorrow that we regret to inform you of the sudden passing of Dean Craig Weedmark. Born in New Westminster, B.C. on May 13th, 1956. He passed away at the young age of 66 on January 6th, 2023.
Some people are just friends, but Dean was a real true friend. He would never pass through a town without calling or stopping to see his family or friends; he was larger than life.
He loved riding his Harley alongside family and friends or just heading out on his own. Dean enjoyed riding to the Kootenay's, Sturgis S.D, or wherever the road would take him just to feel the wind blowing in his hair (beard). He loved riding so much that he just purchased an older Harley in Panama with his best friend so he could ride when he went there.
Dean looked very intimidating with his size and loud voice, but once you got to know him, he was the biggest teddy bear with a massive heart. He loved telling stories, pulling pranks, and telling jokes. You couldn't tell if he was joking or being serious most of the time; even though some of his jokes weren't that funny. But that infectious laughter would leave the whole room in tears.
He was a "jack of all trades", from a truck driver to a Mine Superintendent. Most of his working career was in the mining industry which allowed him to travel to different parts of the world. There was no job or task that wasn't too big or too small that he couldn't figure out. His motto was "work smart not hard."
He will enormously be missed by his wife, Diana of 39 years or as he would exclaim "two life sentences" he would say with a smile.
He leaves behind his son (Lamont) daughters (Helena and Alysse), granddaughter (Arianna) whom he adored, family, friends and predeceased by his youngest son Westley Weedmark.
The hurt will fade, but his memory will live forever. Love and miss you in the whole wide world Dad/Dean.
"Live to ride, ride to live."
Dean's celebration of life will be held at the Barriere Fall Fair Hall on July 22nd at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend to help celebrate Dean's wonderful life.
