Your battle is now over, no more tears flowing down your cheek, no more pain, no more suffering, now you are no longer weak.

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a friend to many, is finally at peace without pain.

He leaves behind his wife of almost 45 years, Edna, daughter Suzanne (Don), and son Ron (Mary), and three grandchildren Donnie, Nick, and Kailee.

He was predeceased by his twin brother Ronnie, and his mother Lara, as well as his father Alfred, brothers Jerry, Jim and Bruce, and sister Patricia.

Don was the happiest when he was in the bush, and loved camping, fishing and hunting. Throughout the years he and his wife Edna managed several wilderness camps.

He had the most warped sense of humor in the family, and would chuckle with glee when he was able to prank someone, or offer a witty comeback. He came up with outlandish theories and would love trying to convince us that he was always right about them.

Dad, as hard as it is to let go, a wise person once told me “Are you holding onto them for you, or for them? So with heavy hearts we try to think of you soaring above us, always near, never forgotten.

RIP Popsy and have a heck of a welcome party with all the friend and family you have joined.

A memorial with be held on July 3, Sunday, in the Barriere Legion basement, put on by the SAR.

A very special thank you to them, as well as Jackie and Jody Huffman, John and Kathy Corrigal, and Mike Taylor who were true friends to the end, and did everything they could to help. Also to the Barriere EMT’s, Debbie, Ron, and Darren are the ones I met up with the most on dad’s calls. Thank you.
