Fukiko "Fuki" Inouye

January 3, 2009

February 03, 1934 – January 03, 2009

It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Fuki due to an unsuspected anurism.

Fuki was predeceased by her son Timothy (Cher).

She is survived by her husband George, her sons Stephen (Patricia), James, Paul, her daughter-in-law Cher and several loving grandchildren.

Fuki and George were married in Hiroshima City, Japan on April 30, 1960 and she immigrated to Canada in the same year. She started her family in the spartan surroundings of a logging camp at Dixon Creek and then moved to Barriere in 1965, put down her roots and called the community her home.

Fuki enjoyed her time and involvement with the Seniors Centre and especially enjoyed the trips they went on.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the charity of your choice in her name.

There will be no formal service by prior request from Fuki. A memorial will be held at a later date in the spring. Funeral arrangements entrusted to North Thompson Funeral Services, Barriere 250-672-1999.
