Harold William Printzhouse

June 2, 1924 – January 24, 2009

Harold died peacefully on January 24, 2009 at the age of 84. He is survived by his loving wife, Myrtle, stepchildren Rae (Randy) Page, Warren (Donna) Genier, Anita (Gary) Gammel, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Harold was born in Kamloops and lived most of his life in the North Thompson area. During WWII he joined the forces and served overseas until the war ended. He loved the outdoors, spending years as a trapper, hunter and fisherman. He was a range rider for some years and worked for the forestry for seven years as a lookout man on the Baldy Mountain and Finali lookouts. Harold had a great fondness for music and played at local dances when he was a young man. He and Myrtle enjoyed following the Blue Grass festivals around the province in the summer. Harold was a skilled metal and wood worker and could fix just about anything. He loved to work on his old cars, especially the Cadillacs.

A memorial service will be held February 14, 2009 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 1:00 pm.

Special thanks to all the staff at Royal Inland Hospital (6th Floor) and Ridgeview Lodge for all the wonderful care he received. Funeral arrangements entrusted to North Thompson Funeral Services Barriere, 250-672-1999.
