Helen Lucille Brown (nee Haggard) passed away in hospital at Duncan, BC, January 26, 2007, at the age of 89.
Helen was predeceased by her parents Fred and Annie Haggard; husband Stuart Brown; sisters, Edna, Clara, Ethel, Dora and Ruth; brothers, Carl, Scott, Raymond, Ralph and Willis.
Helen leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter Dorothy (Gordon) Levelton of Bella Coola, BC; her sons Dale Brown (Jessie) of One Island Lake; and Darrel (Karen) Brown, of Terrace, BC; brothers Fred (Pat) Haggard of Kamloops, and Bob (Estelle) Haggard of Vernon, BC; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was born at Barriere, (the "Forks") October 5, 1917, and was one of thirteen children. She attended the one room school at the "Forks" and later the one room Barriere River School to grade eight.
After her marriage, she resided in Vancouver, Bella Coola, Terrace, and finally Duncan, BC. Helen made many friends wherever she lived and was involved with the Duncan O.A.P. and a walking club.
The funeral service was held January 30, 2007, at Sands Funeral Chapel, Duncan, BC.
