Born to Eternal Life, May 5, 2007, age 87 of Barriere.
She was born Helen Kathleen Gibson on December 10, 1919, in Carthage, Missouri.
She was the youngest of three children born to Grace and George Gibson.
Helen was married to Jay Gibson Butcher - “Gibson” on December 21, 1936, and gave birth to a baby boy, Jay Edmond, on July 25, 1940.
In 1970 Helen and her family moved to Canada, and in 1975 the family became Canadian citizens.
Helen lived most of her retired years in the town of Barriere, B.C. with her husband Gibson, always close to her son Jay and grandchildren.
She was a devoted mother and a caring and loving grandmother.
Helen is survived by her son Jay, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by a niece and nephew.
A Memorial Service was held at the Barriere United Church on Saturday, May 12, 2007.
