Hubert Janning passed away Wednesday, August 7, at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice.  Huber was predeceased by his parents Hildegard and Huber, his brother Bernard and sister Louise.  He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, June, his sisters Trudy Farina, Eith Thompson, Betty (Glenn) Hemmons, his children Lois (Glen) McInnis, Diane (Brian) Turner, Bruce (Denice) Janning, Donna Janning, Debbie (Drew) Stewart, Patty (Richard) Bruce, grandchildren Jessica (Chris), Alex, Luke, Tyrel, Dayton,Serene,Travis, Eric, and great grandson Linden.

Hubert was born in Kamloops and grew up in Darfield, B.C.  He worked for the BC Forest Service from 1947 until 1983.  He worked in Birch Island, Chase, Oliver,Penticton, 100 Mile House, Merritt, and Prince George, and retired in 1983 as District Manager in Kamloops.  

June and Hubert retired to the family homestead in Darfield.

The family would like to thank the staff of Barriere Home Support Services and Health Centre, and Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice for their care.

In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice, or the Barriere Health Centre.  

A celebration of Hubert’s life will be held at Desert Garden, 540 Seymour Street, on Saturday, August 31, 2013, from 2-4 p.m.
