Irene Aitken passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2009, in her 94th year. She slipped away peacefully in her sleep.
Mom was predeceased by dad, Clyde Wilband Aitken, her husband of 62 years and brothers Jack and Pat Phillips and sister Doris Matthews.
She leaves behind two daughters, Sharon Edwards and husband Tom of Merritt and Gailen Conan and partner Robert Bach of Barriere, four grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
Mom loved life and made the most of each day, apparently dancing two days before her passing.
A huge “thank you” to the care givers of Pine Grove Care Facility in North Kamloops for the wonderful and personal care you gave Mom, allowing her to live a vital life to the very end.
She was always positive and happy because of your care. She even laughed at aphasia.
Thank you to all who touched mom’s life.
