In loving memory ~
Our family is deeply saddened to share that mom, Joy Huber, passed away on Monday, December 20th in Red Deer, Alberta. Mom was born in Olds, Alberta on October 14, 1939. Moving to Fadear Creek BC as a child and later meeting the love of her life Wendel, they raised their family on the farm in Squam Bay, BC.
Mom was a true care giver always putting others ahead of herself. As children, we couldn't comprehend or fully realize the meaning of mom's love; how tender and how wise she was. The patience and forgiveness that was part of her every day, the unexpected "little things" she did in her own way. Years go by before we can look back on life and see-through older eyes and wiser hearts her love and loyalty, and yet it's these and other special things we'll hold so dear, for memories of her steadfast love will keep her always in our thoughts and hearts.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Wendel in January 2018 and will be greatly missed by her sister Alva Tetzlaff (Ed) and five children: Ross Huber (Janet), Leo Huber (Dawn), Rita Mosdell (Steve), Heidi Schilling (Pat) Christy Allen (George). She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Mom's strong faith and love for ranching, gardening, and baking bread brings warm memories to us all. Mom you are now with dad and one day we'll meet again. Forever in our hearts.
There will be a quiet service at home in Squam Bay with close family and friends in the Spring.
