Jerry Beddington, a long time resident of Barriere, British Columbia, passed away suddenly on July 23, 2011. He was 65-years-old.

Jerry was born in Vernon, British Columbia, February 21, 1946.

He is survived by his wife Lynda, son Ted (Lorraine), mother Irene and brother Ken (Dianne) Beddington.

Jerry will be missed by his grandchildren Chris, Amanda, Taylor, Dakoda, Mikayla, Connor, Liam and Finn. He will also be missed by all his wonderful family and friends.

Jerry was predeceased by his brother Tom (Wilma) Beddington, his father Cecil Folland and by his stepfather Ellis Beddington.

Jerry had a high school education and an advanced education in applied science technology. In the early years he was a Boy Scout leader and he was involved in the Fall Fair. He was a golfer and curler.

Jerry made beautiful miniatures, wrote skits and plays, and he was a director and an actor.

One of Jerry’s favourite phrases was: “There is always a part for you to play.”

For 35 years, Jerry was a dedicated employee of the Department of Highways. He took great care in keeping the roads safe for our community and for the Valley. He valued integrity, family, and helping others.

At Jerry’s request, a private family gathering will be held to remember Jerry’s life. Rather than flowers, donations could be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 201-635 Victoria Street, Kamloops, B.C., V2C 2B3.
