On May 6, 2007, Mr. John “Jack” Charles Wilson a long time resident of Barriere passed away peacefully at Clearwater Hospital at the age of 84.
Jack is survived by three sons Ian (Linda Martens), Gordon (Brenda) and Robin, his grandchildren Grant, Kristen, Tyler and KateLynn. He was predeceased by his wife Betty and his three brothers Tommas, Donald and William.
Jack was born in Kamloops on September 20, 1922. He was a war veteran and saw active duty in W.W.II.
Jack was awarded “Citizen of the Year” in Barriere during the 90’s.
He enjoyed volunteering and doing community service. He retired from ranching in the Barriere area.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Barriere Seniors Activity Centre.
