My essence melds with the whispering wind in the land called Nehalliston

Though my foot prints fade I’ll shadow your track in every foray made,

When the tools come out I will be there to see the job gets done

And when the buck snorts on the ridge I’ll share the thrill my son.

I’ll be there in the snow and cold rustling up a fire

To keep you warm against the chill and keep the wolves at bay,

And when spring breaks in the land I’ve loved and green is earth’s attire

I’ll be there, pussy willows in hand, for my hearts desire.
