It is with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that the family announces the passing of our beloved father and grandfather on December 29, 2005 at the age of 86 years.
Born in Hemsworth England on Sept. 7, 1919, the only son of Charles Appleby and Edith Edna Rothwell, he leaves behind his loving family of three children, Gail (Richard) Goodwin of Clearwater BC, Dennis Appleby of Burnaby BC, and Don (Karen) Ouellette of Coquitlam BC; nine grandchildren, Aaron “Larry” Goodwin of Coquitlam, Arlene (Jean) Beausoleil of Edmonton AB, Clifford (Tara) Goodwin of Williams Lake BC, Leanne (Joel) Hudson of Edmonton, Ian (Donna) Goodwin of Edmonton, Shauna (Wade) Dombrova of Grande Prairie AB, Lyle Robert Appleby of Grande Prairie, Paul Ouellette of White Rock BC, and Michelle Ouellette of Coquitlam BC, and five great grandchildren.
Ken worked at Cominco mine in Kimberley for 38 years, retiring in 1978.
He came to Clearwater BC in July 2002 to be close to his family when the Kimberley Hospital closed down, and enjoyed his stay at Forest View Place.
At his request interment will be at the Kimberley Cemetery when his family will have a Celebration of Life in the spring.
