Leo Omer Coutu

Mr. Leo Omer Coutu of Kamloops, BC, passed away on November 13, 2005, at the age of 64 years.

Left to cherish his memory is daughter Linda Parent of Barriere, B.C., and son Richard Coutu of Prince George, BC; grandchildren, Paul Coutu, Danielle Coutu and Andre´ Parent; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Predeceased by his parents Joe and Anna Coutu, and a number of brothers and sisters.

As a young man Leo entered into the work force, earning his living as an underground miner to support the family he loved so much.

In the seventies he moved with his young family to Merritt and then to Kamloops, continuing to work in the above ground mining industry.

Leo loved the beautiful province of British Columbia.

He took up fly fishing and hunting with his son and friends, and his love of horses made him an avid horseman.

He loved all animals and you would often find him making friends with the squirrels while camping.

Leo was known as a proud, honest, and caring man who would always help anyone in need.

Leo touched the hearts and souls of many people with his smile and kindness.

This is how he will be remembered.

The Memorial Service was be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, in the Kamloops Funeral Home with Father Peter Nguyen officiating.

Memorial donations in Leo’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
