Marion Bryant

February 23, 2003

Marion Jessie Bryant, April 28, 1950 - Feb. 23, 2003

Raised in the North Thompson Valley, Marion grew up with a real love of the great outdoors. Marion's desire for a change of scenery saw her settle in many communities and tackle a wide variety of jobs throughout B.C., Alberta and the Yukon.

Variety was the spice of life for Marion, from stacking lumber in a sawmill to hotel and resort management to cooking and first aid in some of the most remote areas of western Canada.

Through it all her greatest love was for her family. Raising three terrific children on her own, she instilled in them the values necessary for their own successful futures. Marion adored her grandchildren and each one had their own special spot in her heart.

Just a few short years ago she and John rekindled an old friendship that quickly grew to a loving relationship that made them both happier than they had ever been, each loving the other's families as their own and anxiously awaiting the arrival of the next grandchild.

Marion will be lovingly missed by her "honey," John Proulx, son Gary (Stacey) Bryant, Jessica, David and Simon; daughter Lynn (Ken) Raddis, Crystal and Colton; daughter Sherryl (Jade) Eagle, Emily and Jade Jr., extended family Candy (Brad) Gubbles, Bobbi (Cory) Chute and Colby, Missi Proulx, Rick (Tara) Proulx and Jessie, Jamie, Johnny and Josh. She also leaves behind her parents, Dave and Jessie Price; brothers Ed (Elaine) Bryant, Jim (Helen) Bryant, sister Sharon Price, nephew Lyle Bryant and niece Carrie Bryant as well as many dear friends.

The celebration of Marion's life was held in the North Thompson Fall Fair Hall on March 1, 2003, with Reverend Karen Medland officiating.
