Myrna Gale Young
November 6, 1940 - January 22, 2007
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Myrna at the age of 66 years, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Myrna is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Wilbur, her mother Jeanne Harrison, children Lorrie (Randy) DeLong, Terry (Kathy) Freiheit, Kelly (Karen) Freiheit, grandchildren Mitchell, Melissa, Sara, Taylor, Nathan and Nicole, also brother Glen (Kelly) Harrison, Bradley Harrison and Dennis Harrison. She was predeceased by her father Arthur Harrison and brother Garth, and first husband, Edward Freiheit.
Myrna was born in Port Hammond, BC, grew up in Port Coquitlam, BC and continued to live there after she was married. She then moved to Campbell River, BC where she lived for eight years, and then to Little Fort and Barriere, BC. She was full of energy and very active. She will be remembered by her many friends and neighbors as an avid golfer, which she loved, curling, bird watching and hiking. She loved to read. Mom and Dad went on many golfing holidays in their fifth wheel with friends. She never gave up in her battle with cancer.
A celebration of Myrna's life will be held at Chinook Golf Club, Barriere, BC on April 7, 2007 at 1:30 p.m.
