Nels Hall of Barriere, BC, passed away on August 21, 2008 at 69 years of age. Born in Elk Point, AB on February 9, 1939, Nels is survived by Donna May Hall, his loving wife of 45 years; daughters Tannie and Patti (Jack); grandchildren Mark, Casey, Jake and Cheyenne; brothers George and Charlie (Jean); sister Doris; and numerous family members. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, sister-in-law Amy Hall and brother-in-law Danny Santowski.
Nels was a foreman at Island Copper Mine in Port Hardy, BC, for approximately 20 years. He was a gentle, soft-spoken, and kind man; he was also a highly talented and gifted wood worker.
A Memorial Service was held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Barriere at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Following the service family and friends gathered at The Station House Restaurant. The family would appreciate donations to the Barriere Health Centre.
