It is with a heavy heart that my family announces the passing of my grandfather Olaf Byron Reierson.
Olaf was one of the five children of the parents Lars and Francis Reierson. Clem, Olaf, Elise, Trent, and Brian Reierson. Born in High Prairie Alberta on March 6th, 1934. At the age of 15 Olaf took on employment with CN railroad where he continued working until his retirement. Married to Doris Penner (Reierson) in 1955, and where happily married for 67 years. Olaf had three sons. Harley, Alan, and Lyle Reierson. He also had four grandchildren Jennifer Mclean, Aaron, Kevin, and Travis Reierson. Great grandsons Michael Reierson and Aiden Mclean. Oley and his wife Doris lived in Mclure BC. He kept up his hobby in the shop working on trucks. He was always buying something or fixing something. Olaf was a friend to everyone and a family-oriented person. You would find him at one of the restaurants in Barriere every day having coffee and visiting friends.
Olaf was submitted to the Royal inland hospital September 21, 2022. Where he was later transferred to the Overlander Hospice a week before his passing. Where he passed away in the early morning of November 16th, 2022.
