Olive Ethel Goldsmith

On Sunday, May 20, 2007, Olive Ethel Goldsmith formerly of Nelson, BC, passed away quietly at her home in Kamloops, BC, at the age of 87 years.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Ted in 1994.

Olive is survived by her three children, daughter Arlene Powell and son-in-law Jim Powell of Barriere, daughter Peggy Szilagyi and son-in-law George of Kamloops, and son Steve Goldsmith and daughter-in-law Patricia of Peachland. Olive had eight grandchildren; Darcy (Tania) Powell, Danita (Byron) Saborio, Dwayne Powell, Wayne Goldsmith, Terri Goldsmith and Cindy, Cheri-Anne and Daniel Szilagyi. S

he had eight great grandchildren: Brittany, Kendra, Ryan, Caitlin, Kelsey, Kenner, Cheridan and Sarah.

Olive is also survived by her brother George, and nieces and nephews: Ruth Jennings and Valerie, Ricky and Lorellei Lane and Randy and Clifford Hendricks.

Olive was born in Nelson on April 10, 1920 and lived there until 1984, when she and husband Ted moved to Barriere, north of Kamloops, and in 1998 moved to Kamloops living there since.

Olive was a wonderful wife and mother.

Her special interest was her family whom she loved and supported throughout her life.

A funeral service was held in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel on May 25, 2007. Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery.
