Robert Kearsley passed away suddenly at his home in Quesnel, B.C., on May 16, 2011. He was 61 years of age.

Born Leonard Robert Kearsley to parents Len and Edna “Pat” Kearsley in Mission B.C. on December 3, 1949, Robert spent the past 36 years living in Quesnel, as a dedicated worker at West Fraser Sawmill.

He loved hockey (especially the Montreal Canadians), taking pictures at the game farm or wildlife park, car races, rock hunting, Elvis, his church, and his cat. He loved to spend time with his father and he loved his parents, his family and his friends.

Robert was a good conversationalist, he enjoyed being with his work mates and riding his bike to work (rain or shine).

Robert is survived by his son Layne, daughter Lisa, grandchildren Carissa and Joshua, his sister Lenora (Larry), father Len, longtime friend Tina, nephew Chris, and numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Edna in 2008.

A Graveside Service for Robert Kearsley was held on Friday, May 27, 2011, at the Barriere Memorial Cemetery, Barriere, B.C. Donations in memory of Robert Kearsley to the BC Cancer Society, c/o Merle Cochran, Box 1371, Barriere, B.C., V0E 1E0, would be appreciated.
