Roy Delance Cochran

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Roy Delance Cochran at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops at 2:00 pm April 7, 2006 with family at his side.

Roy was born May 04, 1923 in Kamloops and was a long time resident of Barriere.

Roy was predeceased by parents Charley in 1961 and Margaret in 1981 and sister Grace Tellier in 1964. He is survived by brother Ed (Betty) of Toronto, sons Rob (Rhoda) of Barriere, Don of Whitecourt, Ab, Stephen of Edmonton, Ab and daughter Suzanne (Doug) of Clearwater also grandchildren Wayne, Ryan, Crystal, Lindsay, Ashleigh, Jordan, Kristina, Bobby, Jayed and Christeana and great grandchildren Haley, Jared, Justin, Cory, Cheyenne, Lane, Tristan, Amira and Nicole.

After serving in WWII, Roy was employed with the Newberry Sawmills at Little Fort and later at the East lake site. This is where he began his career as a logging truck driver. Dad enjoyed all outdoor activities and visiting the site of his boyhood home at the diversion dam on the Barriere River.

Dad was a very private and independent person who was always willing to assist others in need. No service by request. Respects were paid at the home of Rob and Rhoda Cochran on Tuesday April 11, 2006.
