Ruth Ann (Haggard) Campbell

Ruth Ann (Haggard) Campbell, was born August 31, 1924 in Barriere (at "The Forks"), passed away peacefully October 5, 2006 at St. Michael's Hospice in Burnaby.


Ruth was predeceased by her father and mother Fred and Annie Haggard, her husband Raymond Campbell, sisters Edna, Clara, Ethel, Dora and brothers Carl, Scott, Ray, Ralph and Willis.


Remembered with love by her son Jim Davis (Audrey) of Burnaby, sister Helen Brown of Duncan, BC, brothers Fred (Pat) Haggard of Kamloops and Bob (Estelle) Haggard of Vernon. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.


Ruth attended school in Barriere at the one room Barriere River School, grades one to eight and continued her education by correspondence, as the school only went to grade eight.


She was a long term BC Tel employee and continued to be active in the BC Tel Pioneers until recent years. An exceptional role model, she was kind and generous and always had a positive outlook on life. She was a loving mother, perfect mother-in-law, a wonderful auntie and friend to all who knew her.


A Celebration of her life was held on Saturday October 21, 2006 at First Memorial Chapel, Vancouver, BC with Bishop Robert Redmile officiating and nephew David Haggard gave the Eulogy.
