Steven George Wadland

October 14, 2007

Steven George Wadland of Barriere, BC, passed away on October 14, 2007.

Survived by his loving wife Inez; brother William (Helen) of Parry Sound, Ontario; niece, Lori (Ward) Seymour; nephews Paul and Dean.

Steven was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario.

When he was 30, he came to BC and decided that was where he wanted to be.

He really enjoyed the mountains for skiing, the ocean for sail boating and the beaches for volleyball.

Steven and his wife moved to Barriere in 1992 so they could build a house of their own design.

With his two hands, many tools and the help of friends, Steven and Inez were able to construct a home of comfort, creativity and small surprises.

After working almost 10 years in Clearwater and Kamloops, Steven came to Barriere Auto Parts and was finally able to make the acquaintance of many local residents.

With a friendly smile and some wise words of after-service maintenance, Steven helped with all problems, large and small.

His gentle, easy-going manner will be missed by many.

At Steven’s request there will be no service, however donations may be made to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home, 72 Whiteshield Crescent S, Kamloops, BC, V2E 2S9.

Final arrangements handled by North Thompson Funeral Services, Box 859, 4638 Barriere Town Road, Barriere, BC, V0E 1N0, phone 250-852-2048.
