Vi passed away with all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and husband by her side at the Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, BC.

Vi was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan to Ronald and Magdalena Schell. She was the fifth oldest of ten children. She married Bill Halliday on August 3, 1957. They started their married life in Maple Creek, and from there shared many experiences together. Vi was a very loving, social and compassionate woman whose life revolved around her children. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends. She held a special place in her heart for all children and this led her to operate a daycare for eight years.
