It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Virginia “Ginny” Joyce on July 4, 2007 at RIH in Kamloops, BC. She leaves to mourn her long time partner Dan Hansen; daughters Corinne Jager (Rob) and Denise Jager (Kenton); nine grandchildren, Curtis, Cody, Tori, Bryce, Mackenzie, Josh, Daniel Caitlyn and Chelsey. She also leaves behind her father Henry Abel, two brothers Rodney and Duane and her sister Deb. Virginia was predeceased by her mother Lynn in 2004.
Virginia was born in Williams Lake, BC in 1950. She lived in many places and finally settled in Barriere in the mid 1980’s. She worked at the Legion and then the Post Office and made many life long friends here. Ginny loved flowers birds, wind chimes, country music, camping, Dan and her faithful companion, Ruthie. Most of all, Virginia loved her children and grandchildren. It was her times with them that she enjoyed the most and these are the times she lived for. We will miss you so, so much.
A Memorial Service for Ginny Joyce will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2007. Please call the funeral home for details.
