It is with great sadness, and sorrow that we regret to inform the sudden passing of Westley Allen Weedmark. Born in Vernon, BC on September 27, 1988, and was raised in Barriere, BC. He passed away at the young age of 33 on November 22, 2021.
Westley was a true gentleman with a heart of gold and a soul of a "dang ol' mountain man", born 125 years too late. He was an exceptional artist, self taught musician, a lover of nature, and those in it.
Westley's generosity was legendary! Known to be the type of person who would give you his shirt off his back even if it was the only one, he had. His heart was not only golden but was adorned with diamonds. He was the type of friend who always had a gift or a handmade treasure that was specifically made for his loved ones.
Always looking for that vein of gold, he was fueled by his sacred places of the Goat River, and Snowshoe Lakes. He was one that lived off the land, gathering wild medicinal plants, and berries for Bannock.
A classical soul, Westley usually sported a hat and classy outfit for shin digs. Westley's spirit was infectious. His warmth, laughter, and the stories he told filled all the hearts he met along the way. Westley has many friends as he was an unforgettable soul who loved to see people happy. He loved his family and friends with everything he had.
He will be sadly missed by his "Meemaw" Diana, his dad Dean, Brother Lamont, Sister's Helena and Alysse, his niece Arianna, Grandma, many uncles, aunts, and cousins, all his loving friends, and his beloved dog Tipsin Waters.
