To the editor;
About two years ago my husband Guy made a low fence for solar lights for our yard and shortly thereafter, similar displays for a few neighbours and residents of Barriere, as well as for St. George’s Catholic Church. Since then, the solar lights have been stolen - from our yard once in 2010 and again this year on Sept. 12; and also once from the church.
We thought we had moved to a nice town, but now we know that there are thieves in the area. Just because we have a nice looking yard doesn’t mean someone can come and take things.
We are considering putting in a motion sensor camera to catch the thieves in the act should they strike again. It is very disappointing to have this sort of thing happen in what is otherwise a nice community.
