Heffley Creek Gun Club in need of new blood and support

We need members to step up to the plate and do their part to ensure that the Heffley Creek Gun Club can continue to properly function

To the editor;

An eventful summer is over and the time for the Heffley Creek Gun Club AGM is again approaching.

The present table of officers are making a very strong appeal to the membership.  We need members to step up to the plate and do their part to ensure that the Heffley Creek Gun Club can continue to properly function under the Societies Act in the future.

This means that we need new blood on the executive, and more members to help with the maintenance of the range.

The group we have now has served for many terms, and it is time to give a few of them a break and introduce new faces to the inner workings of this club.

The executive only holds a maximum of five meetings a year, plus the AGM.

Please think about it.  Six nights out of 365 is really not too much to ask from a member, one or two years a decade.

As well, we hold just a few work parties each year.

As of this date, we are looking for a new treasurer, secretary and a pistol director, but every position is always up for change.

Executive changes bring new ideas, and introduces more people to the running of the club, and will ensure that shooting sports remain interesting, fun, and appealing to the present membership and the next generations.

Please come and show your support for the club on Nov. 4, at the Lotus Inn, 512 Tranquille Road,  Kamloops, starting at 6 p.m. with supper, and then the meeting at 7 p.m.
