To the editor;
I would just like to thank all those people that donated to the Thunder Alley Stomp’n Toy Run. You have made someone smile with your generous donations.
However, the biggest thank you should go to the guys and gals that take part in this awesome event. The organization it takes to plan something like this is tremendous. These people do not think about what it costs them in time, gas, wear and tear on their bikes, or how far they have to travel to get here to help out our town’s people.
Yet once again, who was missing? Oh yes, Mayor Fennell and the Council members of Barriere. Unless it is something that benefits them, they don’t seem to bother with trivial matters like their fellow towns people. This is an event that benefits our Food Bank and is filling a need for this community.
Town council doesn’t have the decency to show up to help out or even thank the participants for their generous gift. How sad, and shame on you all.
Aren’t you supposed to lead by example? Pretty poor examples if I do say so myself.
