Patient “turfed” from Kamloops hospital

letter to the editor

To the editor;

I recently had to help a disabled senior whom Royal Inland Hospital turfed with no supports.

He was unable to walk or stand, and had no support persons in the community.    The hospital had contacted no one to care for him when he got here. He dragged himself out of the cab and crawled into his shack on the ground.  If the cabbie hadn’t gotten a hold of us this senior would probably still be on the floor of his shack alone.

What has our health care come to?
