To the editor;
For those of you who would like to grow your own veggies and flowers and don’t have the space, we have plots available for you at the Barriere Community Garden (behind the Library). We also have raised beds for anyone who has trouble bending down or standing too long.
The North Thompson Valley Garden Club, look after the watering and maintaining of the garden, but the plot is yours to look after and enjoy. You may share a plot with a friend or your family.
Our meetings are on the third Sunday of each month except July, August and September. They are held in the Ridge at 1 p.m., with guest speakers at 2 p.m. For May and June, our meetings are in the garden, weather permitting. To book your plot, please call Anne at 250-672-0140 or Liz at 250-672-9337.
