To the editor;
Many thanks to the community of Barriere and my friends and family for your support during my nine years as School Trustee for Area 0, Barriere/Little Fort.
I am looking forward to my next great adventure that will allow me to pursue a different passion.
I enjoyed my years on the Board of Education and work very hard on behalf of students. Long car rides, long meetings, and three or four times a week to Kamloops, plus trips out of the District didn’t faze me because I believed in what I was doing. I was up to every challenge and I work extremely hard to learn everything and grow into an experienced Trustee.
I will miss my visits to the schools to speak with staff and see the students; speaking at grad and supporting the parents (just to name a few).
My best wishes to the new Board of Education and the new Trustees.
