To the Editor:
Hello Everybody.
This may be my last letter to the editor unless things improve immensely. I have been told to get things in order by the Cancer Clinic so I am going to start by telling all you men in your later years to have a PSA test. It costs you a few dollars, but what is your life worth?
If you have erection problems, whether it’s getting it up or keeping it up, it is time to get a PSA. I got prostate cancer in 2005 with a PSA of 14. Two months ago it was 173. The other day it was 495 so the doctor advised me to get things in order.
The doctor told me my liver had some activity in it and there was a good chance it would travel to my brain. Yeah, I know, nothing there anyway, but it is a little troubling. So I wish to everyone the best of health and the best life.
(Humor coming.)
I have thought to myself, “What animal would I rather be?” Maybe a turtle would be better, after all, they live a long life. Then I thought it would take me forever to walk down to the store, and where would I put my groceries?
“So that’s out.”
Then I thought, maybe I could be an elephant, but I wouldn’t be able to get in through the doors.
“So that’s out.”
Then I thought to myself, “Why would I want to be something else?” For a number of reasons.
First, the doctors and nurses have done the best they could for me.
Second, Bonnie Henry has been a godsend to us Canadians and anyone else who listens to her. Thank you, Dr. Bonnie Henry.
Third, Mother Nature was good enough to drop me off in Canada, because to go south where they off-key musical instrument TRUMPet is would be a disaster. Long live Canadians and I hope the Americans and everyone else overcome this drama.
And to all my family, I am sorry I will have to leave you, (no idea when), but I want you all to know I love you all.
