56 competed for Team BC at 2016 Canada 55+ Games

Team BC returned from a successful 2016 Canada 55+ Games held in Brampton, Ontario

BC Seniors Games Society (operating as 55+ BC Games) announced that Team BC returned from a successful 2016 Canada 55+ Games held in Brampton, Ontario.  Team BC returned with 35 medals in tow - (15 Gold, 11 Silver and 9 Bronze).  This is considered a very good return given that Team BC was comprised of 56 participants.

Canada 55+ Games took place in Brampton from August 16 to 19, 2016

The BC participants were drawn from 25 communities across B.C. and competed in 11 sports.

After a successful run at the Canada 55+ Games in Brampton, Ontario our athlete’s attention turns to the upcoming 55+ BC Games to be held in Coquitlam from Sept. 20 to 24, 2016.

Approximately 3,200 participants will be converging upon Coquitlam for one of the largest community celebration sport has seen in many years.

This annual event showcases the outstanding athleticism of B.C. competitors 55+ and promotes the benefits of leading an active and healthy lifestyle.

The majority of sport events will be happening in two main areas in Coquitlam – the Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex and the Town Centre Park area.   British Columbia residents are encouraged to come out and enjoy some of the festivities and cheer on the participants.

With everyone’s support, there is no doubt that the Coquitlam 2016 55+ BC Games will be a fantastic success.
