A successful end to 2012 rodeo season for local young cowboys

Two hometown young Barriere cowboys have had a very successful season on the rodeo trail in B.C.

This past weekend in Peachland, was the final rodeo of 2012 for the two local rodeo competitors. Tristan Brackman finished in the top five in two events, and Tristan Holt won four events at the Peachland High School Rodeo.

The final event was the icing on the cake for the two boys who also gathered a number of other awards in 2012.

Brackman competed in the BC Little Britches Rodeo and the BC Junior High Rodeo circuits in the 2012 rodeo season.   He had several event wins and finished strong in all rodeo’s. Brackman was also honored with the 2012 BC Little Britches Rodeo Sportsmanship Trophy.

Holt competed in the BC Little Britches Rodeo, BC Junior High Rodeo, and BCRA rodeo circuits. Holt won 14 championship buckles, and two Championship saddles in 2012. Holt also made it to the BCRA finals and was one of three riders at the finals that covered all three steer rides.

Brackman now has his sights set on winning the BC Little Britches Rodeo All Around Championship in 2013.

Holt is focused on making it to Nationals in New Mexico for Steer Wrestling and Bull Riding in 2013.
