Congratulations to the Barriere Secondary’s Track and Field team who had a another successful season.
The school had over 25 athletes qualify to attend the Okanagan Valley Championships.
Notable finishes from the Championships were;
* Taylynn Eustache finished second in the grade 8 girls 400 meter race.
* Kiera Eustache finished second in the Junior Girls Steeplechase event.
* Jordan Bauer placed third in Junior Girls Shot Put and became the 2015 Okanagan Valley Champion in the Race walk event.
* Jacob Peterson (Triple Jump), Sakwuwa Dunstan-Stanyer (Discus) and Will Dana (Hammer) also qualified to compete at the BC High School Provincial Championship in their individual events.
The school’s Athletic Banquet is schedule for Thursday. June 11, starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Barriere Secondary School gymnasium.
