Clearwater’s PeeWee minor ball team the ‘Crushers’ picked up Barriere’s own Jordan Lefeuvre, to play in this years BC PeeWee boys Provincial Championships in Cloverdale July 22 to 24.

“The boys played hard and worked well together.  The team represented our area well, showing good sportsmanship towards each other and all of the other ball players.” says one of the ball player’s parents.

Lefeuvre, pitched for the team and was chosen MVP in their first game against the Prince George Timber Wolves winning Rawlings batting gloves.

On Sunday, the boys played grueling back to back games entering them into the finals. They won game one against Fleetwood, lost game two against Sooke, but made their come back and won their final game against Prince George 8-7.  This streak put the team into the final game playing Sooke yet again, for first and second place. The Clearwater Crushers played some high caliber ball during the championships and proudly brought home the silver medal and were awarded the 2011 provincial backpacks.
