Barriere kids finish up rodeo season

Four young cowboys and one cowgirl, all from Barriere, have been travelling the BC Little Britches Rodeo Association rodeo circuit this year.  They finished off their season at the BCLBRA Clinton Finals rodeo in great form.

The annual awards banquet was held and the season’s year end awards were presented. Top ten winners in each event during 2011 were named, and the Barriere kids received a number of awards.

• Junior Boys Dummy Roping: Dane Hawkings – finished in the top 10

• Senior Girls Pole Bending: Katie Holland finished in the top 10

• Senior Boys Stake Race: Owen Hawkings – 2nd place finish

• Steer Wrestling: Tristan Holt – 2011 Champion, and  Tristan Brackman –  finished in the top 10

• Calf Tying: Tristan Holt –  2011 Champion, and Tristan Brackman –  4th place finish, Owen Hawkings –  top 10 finish

• Steer Riding: Tristan Holt – 2nd place finish, and Tristan Brackman – 3rd place finish

• Senior Boys 2011 BCLBRA All Around Champion – Tristan Holt (Championship Saddle)
